18 Hours Scouts Honor

5 November 2011 to 6 November 2011

The new 2011 season finale...18 Hours Scouts Honor! These guys know what a good time is all about... except maybe the part of racing for 18 hours straight. But seriously, you will not find another 18 hour race that offers so many ammenities. Camping, cabins, showers and a pancake breakfast are just a few of the offerings.

The 18 Hours Scout Honor has been part of the Virginia Off Road Series since the beginning. Orginally held at Poor Farm in Ashland, the 18 Hours Scouts Honor moved to the Scout Camp where many more ammenities and awesome trails await. This year, the race moves dates to the weekend of Nov 5/6 to become the 2011 Virginia Off Road Series final event. This should create some incredible drama coming into the finish in more ways than one!

I was a scout as a kid and loved it. But it's crazy that this organization is still allowed to ban athiests. I don't think they ban people that don't believe in dragons, the other imaginary animals, so why ban people that don't believe in imaginary people from fairy tale books?

I suggest finding races that support organizations that aren't prejudiced.
