Philadelphia Bicycle Expo

29 October 2011 to 30 October 2011

Valet parking - for bicycles.

A fashion show - cycling couture.

A cocktail party, a Halloween bash, a yoga clinic, author readings - bikes, bikes, bikes, bikes.

The official tag: Philadelphia Bike Exposition.

The location: The 23d Street Armory.

The concept: A two-day "celebration of everything bicycle," organized by Philly bike artisans Bilenky Cycle Works in cahoots with the advocacy group Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia.

"The idea is to have something for everyone," says Stephen Bilenky, the Olney-based craftsman (ornate lugs? he's got 'em!) who envisions the inaugural Bike Expo's becoming an annual cycle-centric event, drawing from the mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
