2Pedal Mountain Biking

Specializing in Trail Maps and Trail Guide Books for Mountain Biking the USA and the rest of the World

We're experiencing some growing pains as the entire site has been rebuilt using a powerful content management system called Drupal. For the rest of February 2010, there still might be broken links and missing information as I tidy things up.

I started a mountain biking section on a personal site years ago, and it finally grew up enough to need its own home: 2Pedal.com. The inventory is quickly growing. It started heavily Colorado and Utah biased, since that's what i know, and that's where i ride, but has grown substantially, including more non-US maps and guide books. I've been adding products for California, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington, as well as guidebooks for most of the countries in the European Alps: Austria, France, and Italy (although mostly not in English, they are still helpful!)

I have moved the map and guidebooks store here and the festivals and events list here. I'll be slowly adding more states, other countries, and more products. Look for t-shirts and energy bars to be added for the 2010 season as the site continues its migration to the Drupal CMS.

2010 North American Handmade Bicycle Show - Richmond VA

I had a great time at the Portland handmade bike show and was excited to hit the Richmond show after missing Indianapolis last year. Here are some things that stood out to me:

This beautiful Bilenky frame with custom lugs was left unpainted to show off the brazing and lug work. To me, this is the essence of what custom bike shows are about, and just some lovely work. I like how the color of the brass accents the edges of the lugs.
