In addition to its popular downhill ski resorts and the deep blue waters of the lake, the Lake Tahoe Basin is renowned for having some of the best mountain biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing terrain in the world. The alpine climate, forested slopes, granite peaks and abundant lakes and streams create a spectacular outdoor recreation location for all abilities. This map displays, describes, and rates many of the trails and other routes in the area in a clear and concise format.

Each of the mountain bike routes, hiking trails, and ski trails recommended on this map were researched and checked by Adventure Maps, Inc. The ride/hike/ski descriptions and detailed, overall view provided by the map will help you plan the perfect day of biking, hiking, or skiing and help you get you home safely.

The waterproof material this map is printed on won't wear-out at the seams and will withstand the elements as well as an accidental soaking from your water bottle. The latitude/longitude and UTM grids can be helpful, in conjunction with a GPS receiver, in approximating your location on the map. Keep in mind that many factors can affect the performance and accuracy of GPS readings and as such should never replace good common sense when enjoying the outdoors.
