Delaware

GPS Trail Source is a really well thought out, and very complete site, filled with trail information for the central East Coast, including Delaware.

Some suggested riding areas:
Brandywine Creek State Park: (302) 577-3534
Iron Hill State Park: (302) 739-4702
FairHill Nature Reserve (in Maryland, right across the border)

Cape Henlopen State Park

(park website) A family-oriented sea-side state park. There is a constant sea breeze that can make some trails tough. The ground is very sandy so you are forced to stay on the paved trails but the paved trails take you all over the park. The park is beautiful and very well maintained and offers camping, nature walks thru the dunes, fishing, surf fishing, frisbee golf, softball, tennis, and swimming. It was originally built as a Navy observation post in the ealy 1940's and the observation towers are still open. The view is worth the climb. There are no hills or challenging trails but it is a great place for an easy scenic ride.
directions: Route 1 South into Delware towards Dover. It's 20 minutes past the Dover Air Force Base. Turn left onto Route 9 North in Lewes for 5 miles. Pass the CapeMay/Lewes Ferry (well marked). Route 9 dead-ends at the Park 100 yards past the ferry. 110 Miles from Philly. 175 miles from New Brunswick or 125 miles from New Brunswick to Cape May and take the ferry.
