Mountain Biking in Rhode Island

Arcadia

From East Greenwich, go South on I-95 to Exit 5A. Turn left onto HWY 102 and follow it for about a mile to HWY 3. Turn right and follow HWY 3 another mile to HWY 165. Turn right again. Once you pass Arcadia Road, you are in the Arcadia Management Area.

Big River

From I-95, take Rte. 3 exit in West Greenwich. Follow Rte. 3 south for about 0.3 mile to left on Burnt Sawmill Rd. Sign at this point marks entrance. When road turns to dirt, look for parking area on right.

George Washington

From I-295, take Rte. 44 west to management area on right, just 2 miles east of Connecticut state line.

Goddard

From Rte. 4 south, take exit for Rte 401 east (Division St.). Follow Division St., bearing to right, onto First Ave. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Rte. 1 (Main St.). At next light, turn left onto Forge Rd. Follow for about 0.4 mile, bearing left onto Ives Rd. Park entrance is 2 miles down Ives Rd., on left.

Great Swamp

Take Exit 3A off I-95 onto Rt. 138 East toward Kingston and Newport. Just before the junction of Rt. 110, turn right on Liberty Lane. Follow the road past the park buildings to the.

Lincoln Woods State Park

15 miles of single- and doubletrack trails through woods, around a lake, and past rec fields and vary from challenging trails in the wooded areas to flat trails around the lake. One of the trails ends at a cliff overlooking the lake.
Take Interstate Rte. 95 North, to Rte. 146 North, to Lincoln Woods State Park exit, follow signs.

Treatle Trail

From Providence take I-95 south to exit 10 for Hwy. 117.Off the exit head west on 117 until Old Summit Road turn left and follow until you reach an unpaved lot next to a general store where the trail is located

Weetamo

From Rte. 138, take Rte. 77 south to Tiverton Four Corners. Turn left onto Rte. 179 (East Rd.); sign for woods is 0.5 mile ahead on left. For an alternate entrance to Weetamoo Woods, take Rte. 77 south 4.2 miles. Turn left onto Lafayette Rd., proceed 1 mile to Weetamoo entrance.

Here are some barely usable maps of trails in the Arcadia Wildlife Management Area. Bluff Point in Groton, Connecticut is also only 30 highway miles to the south.
