For those with suitable riding experience and endurance, this is a ride you will talk about for years. By the end of this ride you will have knocked out nearly forty miles of prime West Virginia trails. You will experience every type of terrain along this day-long ride including an incredible 10+ mile downhill along the Blackwater Gorge. The scenery along this ride is superb and wildlife is abundant. At one point you will ride (or walk) across a suspension bridge high above a river canyon. Start early in the morning, bring plenty of food and water, and bring along cash --there are several country stores along the way. Stuff as many tools, tubes and spare parts as you may need - it's a long walk back to town. Bringing maps, guide books and even a compass is also recommended. Be prepared to get wet on several deep creek crossings. Also bring a camera. If you don't, you'll regret it.
